The Aidilfitri Greeting Ceremony held at PCC, Demak, truly showcased an extraordinary spirit of camaraderie and festivity. With nearly 3000 notable guests and members of the public in attendance, the event served as a significant gathering point to strengthen community ties among local residents as well as leaders and officials from the two involved ministries, MYSED and MTCP.
Distinguished guests such as YB Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, and Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, along with MYSED Deputy Ministers YB Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu and MTCP YB Datuk Snowdan Lawan, as well as Permanent Secretary of MYSED, Ybrs. Morshidi Fredrick and Permanent Secretary of MTCP Ybrs. Datu Sherrina Binti Hussaini, demonstrated strong government support for cultural and social activities in the region.
The traditional dance performances and Hari Raya-themed singing presented last night were not only entertaining but also a reminder of our rich cultural heritage. Such gatherings are crucial in promoting local culture and strengthening national identity.
This event clearly displayed the synergy between the two ministries, showing their commitment to fostering community development through events that highlight art and culture, as well as sportsmanship and entrepreneurship. This is a positive step towards the vision of a Prosperous and Progressive Sarawak, prioritizing the holistic development of the region and the well-being of its people.
May the success of this ceremony inspire similar future events that further strengthen the bonds between community and government. Happy Hari Raya Aidilfitri, may blessings and happiness always accompany us all.
