The Sarawak Merdeka Adventure Convoy group was departed from the Kapit section by the Malaysian Minister of Public Works and Member of Parliament for P215 Kapit, YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi at Kapit Town Square. Also present were the Deputy Minister in the Premier's Department and N63 Bukit Goram assemblyman YB Jefferson Jamit, N62 Katibas assemblyman YB Encik Lidam Assan, N64 Baleh assemblyman YB Encik Nicholas Kudi, Kapit Resident YBhg. Mr. Galong Luang and several District Officers.
Malaysian Public Works Minister and Member of Parliament for P215 Kapit YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi also officiated the Digital Exhibition of 60 Years of Independent Sarawak. The Sarawak Merdeka Adventure Convoy group then stopped at Kubu Brooke, Nanga Meluan, Julau and was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak, YB Gerald Rentap Jabu DUN N36 Layar, N48 Meluan Assemblyman YB Roland Duat, Sarikei Resident Ybhg. Mr. Michael Ronnie Langgong and the local community for the flag handing ceremony of the convoy from Kapit Residents to Sarikei Residents.
The Sarawak Merdeka Adventure Convoy group then continued its journey to Bandar Sarikei and arrived in the afternoon.
