The Sarawak Merdeka Adventure Convoy started its Flag Off journey from Summer Mall, Samarahan to Asajaya led by the Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development of Sarawak, YB Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah who is also the Asajaya Assemblyman, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development of Sarawak who is also the Sadong Jaya Assemblyman, YB Ir. Aidel Lariwoo, Member of Parliament for Batang Lupar, YB Mr. Mohamad Shafizan Haji Kepli, Acting Resident of Samarahan, Mr. Mohamad Irwan Bin Bahari Bujang and Deputy Permanent Secretary MY SED, Mr. Dolhadi Bin Mazuki.
Next, the group then started the journey to Sadong Jaya to meet the community there and then to Sebuyau in the afternoon. The convoy was warmly welcomed by Sarawak's Minister of Utilities and Communications and the Sebuyau assemblyman, YB Datuk Julaihi Narawi, as well as the people of Sebuyau when they arrived there before the convoy left for home.

Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) will conduct the Economic Census 2026 (BE2026). BE2026 is the sixth economic census, implemented every five years since 2000.
The census aims to collect comprehensive data covering all economic activities in the country, including the wholesale and retail trade sectors.
The implementation of BE2026 also covers business establishments as well as non-profit organisations. The data collected will serve as a vital reference to support more effective and sustainable national development planning.
